Internet Marketing is Not all about marketing. I know how people like to know how to find a profitable niche then find a great product and start marketing your product online. The next day, check the stats and see your bank account flooded with money.

Well, sorry mate. That won’t happen.

The reason is simply branding. If everyone is going through the same process of finding niche, product and marketing, don’t you think buyers have one more variable? Who are they going to buy from?

The buyers may have the decision to buy the product but from whom. This is especially true in Affiliate Marketing. That is when brand comes in. I’m not talking about huge corporate brand like Nokia, Microsoft, Apple and many more. I’m talking about your own brand.

Example is who knows who is Vincent Yee from Malaysia? Is he a credible person? How he is building his business? Is he successful in his venture?

That is the reason why Internet Marketers want to build their own list. Not because they just purchased a cool autoresponder system but to build relationship with people who is interested in what he or she has to offer.

I’m sure you heard or read that Internet Marketers make more money from the list. The reason is the people in the list know him or her. Therefore they trust his or her recommendation and are more willing to pull their credit card out and purchase the product. Be the product his or her own or affiliate product.

So, next time before you start any aggressive marketing, just build your brand. Don’t get me wrong. You can still do marketing straight away. But selling to people who knows you is much more profitable.
